 How long does the average job take? The average project is from 3-8 piers and can take anywhere from 1-3 days. Will my insurance pay for this? We suggest you call your agent, but most policies do not cover foundation repair. Some polices cover foundation repair if the problem resulted from leaks in a sewer or water line. The cracks in my house close up during the rainy season, what causes this? It sounds like your house is in an expansive clay soil area. During a rainy season the soils beneath the footer become expansive from water infiltration, heaving the house upward and closing the cracks. In a drought season the cracks reopen due to evaporation. What happens if I don’t do the repair? If not repaired it could cause additional foundation damage and new cracks in brick may appear. If the proper repairs are not done in a timely manner your house might not ever come back to where it was originally.
